ABOUT IAN

First and foremost, Ian Sterling loves his family & friends.  They are the most important thing in his life and he will forever be thankful for all of the love, support and amazing experiences that he's shared with them. Ian has been specially appreciative of his life after being diagnosed with cancer in 2006.   He is currently in remission and everyday is thankful to his health care family

Ian Sterling is a spiritual person who relates closest with the Catholic Religion.  He is a very positive individual who believes that something good comes out of every bad situation, even death!

Ian’s philosophy on life:

“We are all dying from the day that we are born.  Only one thing is for sure;  That our lives will come to an end.  It is what you DO with the time that you are given that matters.  Luck, and help from others can really be an influence, but it’s what you DO for the most part that affects who you are, and in what direction you are going.”

Ian Sterling is a proud Londoner (London, Ontario) and Canadian.  He attributes his character and the way he approaches everything, to his diverse & loving family.

Ian Sterling is currently the Afternoon Drive Personality and Music Director for 103.1 Fresh FM in his hometown of London, Ontario, Canada. Within a year of Ian being on Fresh , the Afternoon Drive ratings improved to having the most listeners in London (moved to #1 12+ Central cume), attracting the most listeners that the station had ever recieved.   Ian's previous jobs were in Edmonton as Midday Personality and Music Director for CISN (Kissin’) Country 103.9FM, and Power 92 (Top 40).  During his 5 years with Corus Entertainment in Edmonton, Ian's radio program, when he was on both stations, rated #1 overall in this city with more than 18 radio stations competing for share.  Ian Sterling has worked in the broadcasting industry since 1996 and is a graduate of the Radio Broadcasting Program at Fanshawe College.

Ian Sterling tirelessly helps raise money for many charities by helping to promote them, organize them, host them and by giving his spare time to support various endeavours.
